Minecraft Dungeons II Soul Storms: Schedule, Regions and Loot

Soul Storms unlock after the campaign. The game data sets them at 20-minute storms every 40 minutes, in seven regions: Howling Woods, Singer's Meadow, Rainy Plains, Humbler Huskland, Lullaby Hills, Frozen Highlands and Honeycomb Fields. Destroy the three storm generators to end one; gear it drops rolls three modifiers instead of two.

After the credits the Grand Illusioner is still alive and raises storm generators across the map. Each outbreak is a Soul Storm, and it is the post-game loop: the game data schedules a 20-minute storm every 40 minutes, so storms run on a real-time clock and cannot be repeated on demand.

Seven regions can host one, four in the Overworld and three in the Sift: Howling Woods, Rainy Plains, Frozen Highlands and Honeycomb Fields; Singer's Meadow, Humbler Huskland and Lullaby Hills. Each region has one fixed storm site, marked on the interactive map's Soul storms layer.

The regions come up in a set order, the same for every player online or offline. Jade PG CRAFTED gives it as Honeycomb Fields, Howling Woods, Singer's Meadow, Rainy Plains, Humbler Huskland, Lullaby Hills, Frozen Highlands, then back to the start, the same cycle the game data lists. The in-game map shows a storm icon on the active region; once inside, the area turns grey and the music changes, and each generator appears as a flag icon. Jade counts five to nine possible generator spots per region.

Each generator is guarded by small turrets that must go first, then it summons waves of enemies: creepers, skeletons and illagers at first, Sift creatures later, ending on a boss. silentwisperer notes the boss always appears on the upper-right side of the generator. Per the game data, an easy generator ends on a soul-corrupted zombie or vindicator, a medium one on a mob such as a Witch, Evoker, Enderman or Warden, and a hard one on a Monstrosity; the game does not show which you got.

Loot: every destroyed generator opens a special generator chest with one Soul Storm item, and clearing all three adds a storm chest. Storm items never roll common, a rare one carries two effects instead of one, and specials and uniques carry three. Uniques stay rare: silentwisperer had two triple-effect uniques after about twenty storms. The game data says a storm chest gives up to four items at the hardest tier and more echo shards the harder the storm.

To clear a storm, find and destroy its three generators. The Dungeon Fish shows the payoff: gear from a Soul Storm rolls three modifiers where normal gear rolls two, which is why it is the endgame chase for better versions of items you already own.

Between storms, the time goes into side quests, boss rematches and rifts, the other gear sources after the campaign.
