September update: Xbox has confirmed a playable Tokyo Game Show appearance. Our TGS article separates the show-floor demo from the broadcast schedule and lists viewing times.
Minecraft Dungeons II is a top-down hack-and-slash action RPG developed by Mojang Studios in collaboration with Double Eleven. It is a direct sequel to 2020's Minecraft Dungeons, continuing that game's story with a new large-scale threat connected to the Deep Dark and Ancient Cities.

Up to four players explore dungeons, fight mobs and collect loot, solo or in co-op. The equipment layout now uses one melee slot, one ranged slot, three artifact slots, four armor slots and three talisman slots in the Xbox Wire hands-on demo.

An August 20, 2026 gameplay trailer added the Sift, a new dimension reached through rifts opening across the Overworld, with its own enemies and loadout customization.
This page is the hub for everything confirmed. Where Mojang has not made a statement, we say so rather than filling the gap with an estimate drawn from the first game.
