Brave Haven replaces the first game's camp. There are no missions to return from: you come back here to meet merchants, upgrade your weapons and reset before heading out again. Merchants sell items for emeralds and can be levelled up to offer better stock.
It is also where you resurrect after falling, and the minecart network connects it to the regions around it.
