Two confirmed changes reshape how loadouts work in Minecraft Dungeons II. Armor is no longer a single unified set occupying one slot — it is split into four individual equipment pieces, each equipped separately.

Alongside that, talismans arrive as an entirely new equipment category providing passive effects, worn in addition to weapons and armor.

The later Xbox Wire hands-on showed four armor slots and three talisman slots. Mojang has still not published the final item list, stats or rarity tiers, so this site will not invent database entries before those details are sourced.
